Our mission:

  • To raise awareness about the impact of the unjust, and outdated policies of the U.S. government towards our neighbor, Cuba, and on our country.
  • To work towards normalization of relations between U.S. and Cuba by ending the 50 year trade embargo and travel restrictions.
  • To support the work and efforts of the annual Pastors for Peace Caravan to Cuba.

Our activities:

  • We sponsor an annual educational film series portraying current life in Cuba to counteract the biased presentation of Cuba and its government by the U.S. government and media.
  • We raise money, collect supplies and equipment, for the annual Pastors for Peace Caravan which defies the travel ban and embargo by traveling to Cuba illegally.
  • We sponsor a major celebration and educational event to welcome the caravan as it passes through Northampton in July of each year.
  • We provide scholarships to enable people who want to represent us on the annual Pastors for Peace Caravan.
  • We advocate and lobby  Congress to pass progressive legislation to end the trade embargo and allow unrestricted travel to Cuba.
  • We meet monthly at First Churches in Northampton to plan educational and fund raising events, and strategies to impact congressional legislation.
  • We liaison with other Cuba advocacy groups in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts to strengthen our advocacy.
