Our activities:
- We sponsor an annual educational film series portraying current life in Cuba to counteract the biased presentation of Cuba and its government by the U.S. government and media.
- We raise money, collect supplies and equipment, for the annual Pastors for Peace Caravan which defies the travel ban and embargo by traveling to Cuba illegally.
- We sponsor a major celebration and educational event to welcome the caravan as it passes through the Northampton area in July of each year.
- We provide means toward scholarships to enable people who want to represent us on the annual Pastors for Peace Caravan.
- We advocate and lobby Congress to pass progressive legislation to end the trade embargo and allow unrestricted travel to Cuba.
- We meet monthly at First Churches in Northampton to plan educational and fund raising events, and strategies to impact congressional legislation.
- We liaison with other Cuba advocacy groups in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts to strengthen our advocacy.
